As compared with previous plan, the current scheme offers 100,000sqm more protected nature area and a 30,000sqm larger lake, considering the existing nature (water and mountains) the main resource of the site for the city. This also includes linking and connecting all ecologically relevant areas so that there are no “breaks” in the eco-system and sustainable strategies can be easily applied in later urban / landscape design.
- One Lake Loop: Lake and greenspace associated with it open to all people and integrated into ONE experience made up of a multitude of variations and aspects.
- Two City Gates: The city gate and the nature gate formed by mountains and accentuated by bridge.
- Three Natural Mountains: The double Mountain Islands in the lake and the one large preserved area in the west.
- Four Man-made Landmarks: 1. The activity center / library gate. 2. The bridge. 3. The hotel high-rise cluster. 4. The high school library
