Project Summary
SNIEC - Shanghai New International Exhibition Center - is one of the largest exhibition venues in the world. Built from 2005 in two phases, the exhibition halls, most noticeably their membrane roofs, are coming up to scheduled replacement.
With SNIEC recognizing the need to make their operation and buildings future-proof, directly driven from an ESG and sustainability point of view, forthcoming maintenance offers a huge potential for a holistic optimization of the entire site's current operative resource consumption.
In a first step, SoftGrid creates a Due Diligence account of current energy consumption as a 3D Digital Twin Energy Model to identify biggest opportunities and possible synergies of measurements in order to:
- reduce overall Carbon Footprint drastically with immediate effect
- outline a strategic CO2 Roadmap to achieve carbon-neutral operation
- reduce investment, operation and life-cycle cost dramatically by using synergies between targeted measures for building envelope and technical components
- identify most beneficial implementation / use of on- and offsite regenerative energy
- create an ESG compliant reporting
